The Community Engagement & Outreach Best Use of Social Media Award recognizes achievements in promoting awareness and understanding of water quality issues on social media platforms.

AWARD IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AND IS NOW PART OF THE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT & OUTREACH PROJECT OF THE YEAR
The award is open to individuals and organizations. Self-nominations are welcome. To be eligible individuals must be a CWEA member. Organizations need to have at least one current CWEA member.
Create a narrative which is limited to 10 pages including text, graphics, PowerPoint slides, and/or link to social media communication outreach being nominated.
Each entry must include information about their social media campaign under the following headings:
- Objectives and timeframe
- Target audience and strategy
- Implementation and creativity
- Results and evaluation
- How this community engagement communication tool supports CWEA’s objectives.
Social media platforms eligible, but not limited to, include: Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, Flicker, Instagram, Pinterest, Nextdoor, LinkedIn and interactive blogs. Websites / web pages not eligible.
