Earlier this year, CWEA hosted its 3rd Annual California Student Design Competition virtually.
Six teams competed, 2 in the wastewater category and 4 in the engineering category.
Four teams from San Diego State University and two teams from University of California, Irvine. Thank you for entering the competition and competing virtually! Thank you to the three judges who also participated in the competition, Rich ten Bosch, Tricia Butler and Brian Peck.
The winners were eligible to advance to compete nationally and virtually at WEFTEC.
The winner of the 2020 CA Student Design Competition, WASTEWATER CATEGORY was the Pipe Masters team from University of California, Irvine – Jason Tran, Aaron Esparza-Almaraz, Angel Salazar and Matthew Tem.
The winner of the 2020 CA Student Design Competition, WATER ENVIRONMENT category was Coastello Engineers team from San Diego State University. Congrats Ehrick Costello, Marina Balcazar, Michelle Melkonians, Julia Moore, Sophia Jorge.
