Cela Gonzalez, Marketing Coordinator
CWEA is delighted to welcome Cela Gonzalez as the new Marketing Coordinator, a new position for CWEA.
Cela studied Advertising and Communication and Social Change at the University of Texas in Austin. After graduation, she moved to the Bay Area and soon found CWEA in the summer of 2022.
In her role, Cela works closely with CWEA’s 17 local sections to support their communication needs – including crafting posts and emails to promote section activities, designing re-usable templates, and training section leaders on how to use CWEA’s assets effectively. In addition, she supports the marketing team with various marketing projects.
She is passionate about applying her strategic and creative communication skills to effect positive change which is why working at CWEA made sense. She is excited to work with and empower the people who protect California’s water and hopes CWEA’s vision of a sustainable water environment is one day a reality.
