Sami Hunkler, P.E. is a Civil Engineer for Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts. She has been in the Civil and Mechanical Design section for 3.5 years. Sami has a B.S. and M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. She is the Past Chair of the Students and Young Professionals Committee for CWEA. As a Civil Engineer Sami applies technical principles to develop real-world solutions for wastewater treatment, stormwater infrastructure, and solid waste management.
Purpose
The Outstanding Young Professional award from the Students and Young Professional’s Committee recognizes professionals who demonstrate excellence in the profession and are under the age of 35.
