City of Roseville
The Wastewater Collection Division is highly confident performing O&M on its collection system and is committed to driving both efficiency and innovation in the management of wastewater projects. In addition the division excels at in-house or projects, which significantly impact both crew morale and the division’s fiscal responsibility.
• A demolition project for five out-of-service pump stations, initially budgeted at $2 million was completed by wastewater crews for $900,000.
• Wastewater crews demonstrated their technical skills by by-pass pumping 4,500 feet of 63″ and 66″ trunk mains to inspect and repair the blistering T-Lock lining.
• The wastewater division conducted a comprehensive stress test on their after-hours answering service and rental companies contracted to provide emergency bypass equipment. Weak points were identified, leading to city council approval within five months to procure necessary pumps, and plugs, vital to bypass a 42″ trunk sewer, thereby decreasing reliance on external sources.
