Wastewater Operator Certification Program (WWOCP) Advisory Committee Opportunities
The Wastewater Operator Certification Program (WWOCP) Advisory Committee has openings for the following positions:
- Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Representative – An operator who is employed at a wastewater treatment plant and who is a member of a statewide organization representing wastewater treatment plant operators (one position);
- Local Sanitation Agency Representative – An individual from a statewide organization representing local sanitation agencies, other than statewide organizations representing municipalities, counties, or private utility wastewater treatment plants (one position);
- Water Recycling Treatment Plant Operator Representative – An operator who is employed at a water recycling treatment plant (one position);
- Wastewater Educational Institution Representative – An individual from a university or a state university school or division of engineering (one position);
- Organized Labor Union Representative – A member of an organized labor union that represents wastewater treatment plant operators (one position).
The term of each position is four years. The WWOCP Advisory Committee generally meets twice a year (Spring/Fall). The WWOCP Advisory Committee shall review all proposed regulations and make recommendations to the State Water Board before the adoption of a regulation or an amendment to a regulation.
