Born in Morocco, Latif has lived all over the world. Spending time in cities like Paris, France and Boston. He worked in a variety of different jobs before finding his passion for wastewater. In 2010 Latif volunteered as an unpaid intern for Victor Valley Wastewater. He moved from an unpaid intern into the Environmental Compliance department eventually overseeing the entire department. He was inspired to learn and educate himself receiving a bachelors degree and a masters degree while working full time. He serves as an inspiration to others pursing a career in wastewater.

Purpose

The Supervisor of the Year award recognizes successful mentoring of team members, professional development, and effective communication. CWEA’s Leadership Development Committee selects the winner.
