Inland Empire Utilities Agency, formed in 1950, is a municipal water district located in western San Bernardino County, California. IEUA’s mission is to supply imported drinking water, collect and treat wastewater, produce beneficially reusable compost, and high-quality recycled water to the 850,000 residents living within its 242-square mile service area. Javier Medrano, Mechanic IV and Joe Carter, E&I Tech III are two of some of the most highly skilled and experienced employees within the Agency’s Maintenance Department. Thier experience and technical skills were instrumental for the success of these gadgets in terms of making the gas mixers more reliable.

Purpose

The Gimmicks & Gadgets award recognizes innovation and creativity in developing solutions to performing routine tasks or functions in maintenance, operations or construction of wastewater collection systems.
