 Redwood Empire Section

Doug started his Electrical career by attending the Perry Technical Institute, where he received a formal Electrical education. Concurantly, he worked at Delmonte Canning as an Electrician for a year on a workout Program.

While still receiving his education with Perry in 2012, he signed a 3 year work contract with USS Posco, the steel mill in Pittsburg, Ca.

The 3-year Mill contract eventually ended, but Doug stayed 10 ears in total. He worked in many different areas of the mill including General Field Maintenance, the Crane Shop (perfoming overhead crane maintenance), and eventually became a Lead working with High voltage Power Distibution.

In 2021 Doug transitioned to his current position of Electrician for the City of Vacaville Utilites Department. His formal education, his varied work experience, and his ability for “out of the box” solutions, have served him well in establishing himself with the City of Vacaville.
