West Bay Sanitary District is a Special Sanitary District in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. West Bay serves the communities of Menlo Park, Atherton, Woodside, Portola Valley, Los Altos Hills, and portions of Redwood City, East Palo Alto, and unincorporated San Mateo County.

The District is proud to be a progressive district known for it’s professionalism and hard working dedicated staff. Known for its reputation, other agencies have asked West Bay to serve their communities as well.

West Bay operates 210 miles of pipeline, 12 pump stations, and a recycled water facility. In addition to its own 210 miles of pipeline, the District maintains 60 miles of pipeline and 4 pump stations for the Town’s of Los Altos Hills and Woodside through an interagency agreement.

The District performs ALL work in-house with it’s 3 cleaning crews, 1 CCTV crew, 1 pump station crew, and one construction crew.

Purpose

The Collection System of the Year award is given in recognition of outstanding maintenance programs, regulatory compliance and safety & training procedures.

Awards are given in three categories: Small, Medium and Large.
