Juan Zapata

First Place
 Monterey Bay Section

Juan Zapata started in the trades field, working as a heavy equipment/diesel mechanic In 1988 he attended Phoenix Institute of Technology for a year. Graduated from their Precision Power Train & Chassis course. In 2015 Juan started at the Gilroy Wastewater Plant. All his trades, skills, knowledge & experience has helped him here. But that’s not to say he’s done learning because working for Jacobs/SCRAW/wastewater the bar has been raised higher. The level of communication/safety/knowledge can be challenging at times. And I’m happy to say Juan has meet those challenges. Also, now sharing his experience with the guys doing in the field training, training sessions and training videos. We have a good environment here where we all work together to accomplish our main goal. Which is keeping our environment clean, healthy.
