The draft Establishment of the Water Quality Control Plan for Inland Surface Waters, Enclosed Bays, and Estuaries of California; and draft Toxicity Provisions, and the Draft Staff Report, including the Draft Substitute Environmental Documentation, for the Toxicity Provisions are now available. The documents can be found at the State Water Boards’ Statewide Toxicity Provisions Website (click here for link).
The Toxicity Provisions includes proposed numeric acute and chronic water quality objectives for toxicity and a program of implementation.
The State Water Resources Control Board staff will hold two workshops to provide the public opportunities to discuss the Toxicity Provisions.
The first will be held on October 29, 2018 in Costa Mesa, and the second will held be on October 31, 2018 in Sacramento.
The State Water Board will hold a public board hearing to receive public input and comments on the Toxicity Provisions and the Draft Staff Report on November 28, 2018. The response to comments regarding the previously proposed 2012 Draft Toxicity Policy will be available on the website listed above on or before October 29, 2018”
