CWEA-Monterey Bay Section was established 1953 as the Loyal Order of the Sewer Rats. The Loyal Order of the Sewer Rats evolved into The Monterey Bay Section, a local section of the California Water Environment Association. The Section covers a regional area encompassing Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Benito Counties and a portion of Santa Clara County south of Coyote. .
