State Water Board Seeking Nominations – Wastewater Advisory Committee

The Wastewater Operator Certification Program (WWOCP) Advisory Committee is made up of eleven members appointed by the State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) pursuant to Water Code section 13632, each representing different segments of the wastewater operator field. Members are appointed to staggered four-year terms. The WWOCP Advisory Committee generally meets twice a year with additional meetings scheduled, as necessary. The WWOCP Advisory Committee’s duties include reviewing and making recommendations to the State Water Board on proposed regulations and providing input and feedback on other topics concerning the WWOCP.

A person from a statewide organization representing local sanitation agencies other than municipalities including counties or private utility wastewater treatment plants.

A person from a statewide organization representing wastewater treatment plant operators and supervisors. Must be employed at a wastewater treatment plant as an operator or supervisor.

A member of an organized labor union which represents wastewater treatment plant operators.

A person from a university or state university school or division of engineering.
