Join the WWOCP Advisory Committee: Open Positions for Industry Leaders and Academics

The Wastewater Operator Certification Program (WWOCP) Advisory Committee has openings for the following positions:

Term: July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2028

1. Organized Labor Union to Represent Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators – A member of an organized labor union which represents wastewater treatment plant operators. (one vacant position)

Term: September 1, 2024, to June 30, 2026

1. University or state university school or division of engineering – A person from a university or state university school or division of engineering. (one vacant position)

The term of each position does vary and is noted above. The WWOCP Advisory Committee generally meets twice a year (Spring/Fall).  The WWOCP Advisory Committee shall review all proposed regulations and make recommendations to the State Water Board before the adoption of a regulation or an amendment to a regulation.

If you are interested in becoming a committee member or nominating a qualified individual, please submit the following items by 4:00 P.M., Friday, November 22, 2024:

• Name of nominee, address, phone number, valid email address
• Position the nomination is for
• Name of Employer
• Resume
• Statement of Qualifications (SOQ’s)
• Any letters of recommendation/support
