Teresa Kistner
I “fell” into this fabulous industry when contemplating taking water vending machines into Australia. I wanted to comprehend treatment so I took the water science class offered, passed the WTO Grade 2 exam and earned my first certification. I was hooked, took the next class: Analysis of Water/Wastewater, and was hired by that lab instructor. As a new Lab Tech, I was blown away that I had never considered what happens after a FLUSH and made it my mission to tell the entire community. I was supported by management which energized me to teach. Water protection folks inspire me, local/state events are the icing on the cake. I’ve been GSD’s IWC Officer for 26 years – it’s a privilege to witness evolving science and technology and have regulators an integral part of the journey! There are amazing people working to protect our world – I am grateful to be here.
