Selma-Kingsburg-Fowler County Sanitation District
The S-K-F County Sanitation District is a public agency formed in February 1971 by the Fresno County Board of Supervisors through authority granted in the County Sanitation Districts Act and the Health and Safety Code of the State of California. The purpose of this special district is to provide for the collection, treatment and disposal of wastewater emanating from the residential, commercial, institutional and industrial dischargers within the service area of the three cities of Selma, Kingsburg, and Fowler. The wastewater treatment and disposal facilities are located on a 550-acre site 1.5 miles west of Kingsburg. Beginning in the summer of 2018, Selma-Kingsburg-Fowler County Sanitation District (SKF) and the Selma Unified School District (SUSD) began collaborating with the Valley Regional Occupation Program (VROP). June 2025 marks the 7th year SKF has participated.
