First Place
 Tri-Counties Section

I began working in the water industry for the City of Eureka as a Water Quality Technician. I enjoyed working in the laboratory and was promoted to the Water Quality Supervisor position where I developed my report writing skills. During that time I volunteered for the North Coast Section of CWEA. After eight and a half years I took a position with the City of Petaluma as the Environmental Services Supervisor and expanded my professional experience. At that time I was responsible for management of the Pretreatment Program, Water Conservation Program, and the Pollution Prevention Program as well as the ELAP certified laboratory. Then I had a opportunity to work for the Goleta Sanitary District (GSD). I am very fortunate to still be working at GSD in this extremely important industry that is essential in the protection of public health and the environment.
