Kody Tompkins

Kody Tompkins is the Chief Plant Operator (CPO) at the Barstow Wastewater Treatment Plant (BWWTP). He is an active member of the California Water Environmental Agency, American Water Works Association, and the Water Environmental Federation. Kody completed two tours to Iraq, for over a year each. Kody eventually discharged honorably in 2009 as a Sergeant. Kody began working at the BWWTP in 2002 as a laborer; prior to becoming the CPO, he has learned and worked in every position at the plant. In addition to managing the day to day operations at the BWWTP. Mr. Tompkins holds a Grade V Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certificate, Water Treatment Operator Grade T2, and a Water Distribution Operator Grade D2 from the State Water Resources Control Board, and also holds a Grade IV Collections System Maintenance Certificate from the California Water Environmental Agency.
