Fernando Velasco

My name is Fernando Velasco, and I am a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Technician at Moulton Niguel Water District with more than 18 years of experience in the electrical field. I began my career at Byrd Electric, where I spent 11 years building a strong foundation in electrical systems, followed by five years at the South Orange County Wastewater Authority. For the past two years at Moulton Niguel, I have focused on upgrading control panels, installing advanced controls and new control systems, and gaining a deeper understanding of the district’s sites and facilities. I take pride in building and installing control panels that keep our treatment plants, lift stations, and pump stations running smoothly, as well as upgrading HMIs to modern, user-friendly designs. Above all, I enjoy troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure our systems operate reliably and efficiently, and I value working with a great team that makes these projects possible.
