Edward Oyama

Edward graduated from Fresno State University in 1980 with a BS in Civil Engineering. He has been a CA registered professional civil engineer since 1984. His work experience began with the Federal government, working for the US Bureau of Reclamation and the US Army Corps of Engineers. his wastewater experience was gained starting in 1994 working for the Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency (currently known as Monterey One Water) where he served as the Lead Engineer managing the Engineering Department. In 2008, Edward began working for the West Valley Sanitation District and currently serves as the Director of Engineering and Operations.

Edward has been a member of CWEA/WEF and the Monterey Bay Section since 1995. He’s been the Chair of the Collection System Committee at MBS since 2017. He has also served on the various committees and Executive Board of the California Sanitation Risk Management Authority (CSRMA) from 2011-2021.
