The Coachella Valley Water District Collections Department is responsible for collecting wastewater from residential and commercial establishments, and safely transporting it to one of the five Wastewater Reclamation Plants (WRPs) for treatment. The collection system utilizes 28 lift stations, consists of 1,095 miles of sewer pipeline, and 22,391 manholes.
Purpose
The Collection System of the Year award is given in recognition of outstanding maintenance programs, regulatory compliance and safety & training procedures.
