My name is Travis Kearney and I am the Wastewater Collections Maintenance Supervisor for the Carpinteria Sanitary District. I take a lot of pride in leading a hardworking team that cares about the community we serve. My leadership is shaped by the people around me, and I am a better leader because of the commitment, attitude, and ownership my team brings every day. Our crew is small, tight knit, driven and focused on doing the job right.

The Carpinteria Sanitary District is a community focused agency dedicated to reliable service and supporting the people who live here. Our operators where many hats maintaining all equipment, gravity mains, E One pumping stations, lift stations, and lower laterals, completing most work in house.

We handle mainline cleaning, CCTV, pump repair, emergency response, lower lateral maintenance and USA markings. Our teamwork and commitment make us deserving of Small Collection System of the Year.

Purpose

The Collection System of the Year award is given in recognition of outstanding maintenance programs, regulatory compliance and safety & training procedures.

Awards are given in three categories: Small, Medium and Large.
