Amanda Roa
Amanda Roa is currently a Senior Engineer for Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District, in Fairfield CA. Prior to that Amanda was the Environmental Programs Manager for Delta Diablo, in Antioch, CA. She has a B.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and has over twenty-seven years of experience in the water resource recovery industry. At Delta Diablo Amanda was responsible for all forms of environmental regulation and permitting including wastewater, recycled water, air, and hazardous materials and waste and manages the operation of a regional household hazardous waste collection program with several municipal partners. She was the lead in many of the District’s bench and pilot scale studies involving innovative technology and managing various resource recovery projects and partnerships. Amanda also served as the lead for Delta Diablo’s Green Team and Energy Team and coordinated the implementation of a various sustainability and energy initiatives.
Purpose
The CWEA Quarter Century Recognition Program recognizes water professionals for their commitment to improving the quality of life and the protection of the environment. CWEA Quarter Century Recognition Program honorees have dedicated their careers in a challenging and most vital profession, the water environment field. These essential professionals who have spent countless hours improving our water environment include: Operators; Collection System, Maintenance, Laboratory, and Environmental Compliance personnel; Engineers; and Administrators.
CWEA Quarter Century honorees will be presented with a certificate recognizing their achievement and a lapel pin they can proudly wear identifying them as members of this elite group of professionals.
