Lunchtime Presentation – Town of Windsor’s Aeration Basin Feasibility Study and Aerobic Granular Sludge

The Town of Windsor’s Aeration Basin Feasibility Study and Aerobic Granular Sludge

The Town of Windsor funded an Aeration Basin Feasibility Study to determine whether it was more viable to continue into the future by rehabilitating the current two aeration basins, or to use the allotted space to construct aeration basins using new technology.  Two primary driving forces were operational modularity and phosphorus removal.  Black & Veatch performed the study, the results of which have taken the Town in an previously-unexpected direction.  The Town will soon be undertaking a pilot test to prove out the new technology for their future design.

Black & Veatch, and Aqua-Aerobic Systems engineers will share details of the Study and Aerobic Granular Sludge (AGS), the recommended approach, along with the availability of pre-packaged AGS pilot systems.

Presenters:
Garrett Broughton – Town of Windsor
Dr. Sandeep Sathyamoorthy / Dr. Yueyun Tse – Black & Veatch
Joe Tardio – Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc.
