CWEA encourages students to learn more about water quality and to pursue careers in the Water and Wastewater professions.

Resources designed for or used by students in the classroom include:

  • Sewer Science - A hands-on lab that teaches middle and high school students about municipal wastewater treatment using specially designed tanks, analytical equipment, and a student workbook.
  • EPA's Drinking and Ground Water Kids' Stuff - The Environmental Protection Agency's tools for teachers and students.
  • Aqua Venturer - A Global Timeline and Database of Water Use, Abuse and Treatment.
  • Drinking Water Kids - National Drinking Water Clearinghouse site about the water cycle and other information for children.
  • Water Watch - US Geological Survey's near real-time pictures of water conditions and information.
