Emergency Preparedness: Are You Ready? Seminar on Tuesday June 19, 8:30 am – 4 pm. Seminar is for anyone interested in preparing themselves and their organization for the next emergency (operators, engineers, managers, field crews, students, etc.). Topics will include: Business Continuity After a Major Emergency, Reliability and Redundancy for Wastewater Pumping Facilities; SCADA Redundancy; Keeping the Public Informed Before, During, and After an Emergency; How to be ready to deal with any disaster or emergency in 10 minutes or less; and more. The Redwood Empire and San Francisco Bay Section will be hosting a joint summer baseball outing at the Giants versus Reds game on Saturday June 30th @ 1:05 PM (with Picnic Tailgate @ 11:00 AM). Cost $40 for members ($50 for non-members). Tickets are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. The Collection Systems Committee will be holding the Fourth Collection System
Technologies Vendor Fair on June 6, 2012 at Union Sanitary District. Speakers from award winning agencies, and other industry leaders, will lead roundtable discussions, interactive workshops, live demonstrations and equipment tours. Over 50 cities and special agencies attended our 2010 event. Pre-registration is required and early registration is recommended due to limited space. Establish contacts and working relationships with operations and maintenance professionals, laboratory professionals, engineers, equipment vendors, students and academia. Establish mentoring relationships, and create a community for exchanging technical information and solving problems.
- Get empowered in the wastewater industry! Get tuned in to the latest hot topics, get to know industry decision makers, influence the direction of the organization, and gain recognition through awards that document progress and growth.
