CWEA Membership Guidelines

1. All CWEA members will also be charged for membership in one local section and assigned to a section using their mailing addresses. Membership in additional local sections is optional at extra cost. CWEA will manage all membership services, including membership billing.

2. Current SARBS members who do not become CWEA members by July 1, 2002 will become non-member subscribers to the SARBS newsletter, but otherwise will not have privileges reserved for CWEA members. Non-CWEA members can always participate in any training or activity but will have to pay a higher fee.

3. Corporate membership at the local section level will be discontinued after July 1, 2002. Local section Corporate subscribers and event sponsors will still be allowed and encouraged.

4. SARBS memberships are paid for the calendar year. Therefore, all local memberships for 2002 paid before July 1, 2002 will be honored with all benefits intact through 2002. CWEA membership renewal dates are tied to the date of application.

5. SARBS will continue to be a resource for members and non-member subscribers by offering training, informative tours, seminars, and professional networking opportunities. SARBS encourages local POTW's, water agencies and corporate vendors to budget for CWEA membership for their employees, as a means to increase their knowledge, skills, and abilities in their chosen field.

6. Please contact CWEA with all questions regarding the changes in local membership requirements.

CWEA contacts may be reached at 510-382-7800:
