AECOM Water is currently seeking a talented and highly-qualified individual to play a key role in the development and acceleration of our program management strategic initiative. The scope of this leadership position will include strategy, planning, pursuit and capture of large wastewater and water program management opportunities throughout the US. This is an exciting career opportunity with the potential to be a major impact player and "builder" in the new AECOM Water organization.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of playing a key role in the pursuit and capture of program management opportunities. The individual we are seeking have prior experience as a Program Manager on $200M and larger capital programs. Our programs typically include planning, design, and design and construction oversight of wastewater or water treatment plants, wet weather programs, pipelines, pump stations and other infrastructure improvements and upgrades.
There is flexibility on where this position may be based throughout the continental US. Anticipated travel requirement is not less than 50%.

Description
Water System Operator is the journey level class for both the Water Distribution series and the Water Treatment series. Under direction, Water System Operators perform work in connection with the operation, maintenance, construction, and repair of water distribution systems, water treatment facilities, water wells, water booster pumping stations, water storage facilities, and storm water pumping stations. The positions in this class also operate, maintain and repair chemical handling systems, hydraulic power systems and hydro-pneumatic systems, and operate diesel driven electrical generation systems. Incumbents may be required to perform routine tasks independently when they work alone in the field.
Minimum Qualifications:
Either: 1. One year of full-time experience performing duties which have included the repair, maintenance, or construction of one or more of the following systems: underground pipeline, wastewater collection, storm water collection, or underground water distribution.
Or: 2. One year of full-time experience in maintenance, construction, operation, or repair of mechanical components of equipment in one or more of the following facilities: wastewater treatment plants, potable water pump stations, water treatment plants, lift stations, storm drain pumping stations, or other mechanical facilities with similar systems and equipment.
Or: 3. A certificate of completion from a two-year mechanical-electrical technology program.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR

THE POSITION
The Environmental Compliance Coordinator plans, develops, analyzes, coordinates, implements, conducts, and administers water quality control programs in compliance with established federal and state regulatory standards and permit requirements. This position develops, establishes, and maintains the wastewater pretreatment program and stormwater discharge program at a level of service that assures compliance with mandates and facilitates the protection of water quality.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Any combination equivalent to experience and training that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
- Four years experience in the water pollution control field, including one year supervisory experience and two years of administrative experience related to stormwater management (non-point source pollution control); NPDES permit compliance, monitoring, and reporting or related environmental analysis.
- Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in environmental or civil engineering, chemistry, environmental sciences or closely related field is required. Course work in management, marketing, or public administration is highly desirable.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
- Possession of or ability to obtain within 60 days, an appropriate California driver's license and a satisfactory driving record as determined by the City of Davis.
- Possession of or ability to obtain within twelve months of appointment a Grade I Environmental Compliance Inspector certification issued by the California Water Environment Association.
- Possess the subsequent certification grade within twelve months of accumulating respective required eligibility experience for taking the examination (in combination with education) up through and including the Grade III Environmental Compliance Inspector certification issued by the California Water Environment Association.

The Assistant Construction Manager (ACM) assists the CM in performing any of the functions of the CM that may be delegated to him/her and acts as CM in the absence of the CM. The ACM reports to the Construction Manager. This position will manage or assist in managing activities for all phases of construction, having a total installed cost of $130 million. Projects consist of large diameter welded-steel pipeline (84"), a river intake structure with a 180-mgd pumping station, and included short tunnels under highways and other obstructions. The ACM provides field office engineering functions such as assisting in key functions including managing staff, dealing with construction contractors, and coordinating with the public sector client, public affairs representatives, and environmental scientists involved in mitigation monitoring and permit compliance activities, and implementing the project quality control and safety programs. The ACM is responsible for ensuring a positive flow of information from the field office to the program office, ensuring that reports, timesheets, etc., are forwarded in a timely fashion and maintaining the personnel files at the main construction office. Other duties will include overseeing RFPs and Change Orders, reviewing work plans, work schedules and budgets, and coordinating start-up, commissioning and closeout of construction. Requires 10 + years experience in engineering and construction, and a 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent construction related work experience. P.E. preferred.
Experience Required:
- 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent construction-related work experience, P.E. preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction. Project experience to include two pump station projects, at least one of comparable size and value (180MGD/$130M).
- Experience with construction of pumping plants, large diameter pipelines, micro-tunneling, pile and cofferdam construction, construction dewatering preferred.
- Requires extensive knowledge of construction-related processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices.
- Demonstrated effective managerial capability is also required, as well as strong written and oral communications skills.
