The Sacramento Area Section (SAS) currently has over 650 wastewater professionals who subscribe to our newsletter, the SAS Watch. Our newsletter is one of the fine services that the section provides its members, along with monthly meetings and professional training sessions, wastewater and industrial plant tours, and safety and laboratory training sessions. The section also holds various social events such as the Awards Banquet, the Toilet Seat Open Golf Tournament, and the August Picnic. These activities and meetings allow our members to network with other wastewater professionals, to learn of developing trends and issues that may impact wastewater treatment operations, and to find out how others are solving similar problems.
