What's Happening in our
Section

May
Dinner Meeting and Safari
When: May 15, 2008
Where: Safari West, Santa Rosa.
This would be a great opportunity for all you
members in the north of our section to venture down 101 and
reintroduce yourselves.
We’ll be having an animal presentation
promptly at 4:15 followed by a tour of Safari West’s water
treatment system. Once we’ve crammed our heads full of
knowledge we’ll be able to relax a bit and enjoy a BBQ dinner,
including non-alcoholic beverages like iced tea, lemonade,
water and full coffee and tea service.
Remember, Safari West is a wildlife preserve,
so dress comfortably!

To get there from the South: From 101 take
the River Road Exit (the approach to the exit is also marked
Calistoga/Mark West Springs Rd.) Exit the freeway and turn
RIGHT onto Mark West Springs. This road will turn into Porter
Creek Road. At Franz Valley Road turn left into Safari West’s
driveway.
To get there from the East: From 80 exit
at Hwy 12 and cross the valley. Turn right onto Hwy 29 towards
Calistoga. At Rutherford, Hwy 128 joins 29. Remain on 128
going past, not through Rutherford. Turn LEFT on Petrified
Forest Rd. Turn RIGHT on Porter Creek Rd. At Franz Valley Road
turn RIGHT into Safari West’s driveway.
