2007 Standing Committees Welcome to our on-line library. We will have current links (see above) to our Standing Committee reports. By-Laws & Constitution Review Committee The By-Laws and Constitutions are living documents requiring periodic review to maintain their integrity. This year's committee is working to refine and update the documents for consistency with our state organization and other local sections. Once the Committee has reached consensus with the review, presentation is made to the Section Board of Directors for their comments/review and approval. Following that process, the revised by-laws and constitution are submitted to the CWEA's review committee for confirmation and subsequent approval. Awards Committee Nominations for Section awards will be due in October, but get ready to start working on nominees early in 2007. The CWEA web site posts the application forms in June, so NSJS's committee will be knocking at your door for nominations. The Committee will review each submittal for completeness, and rank each one using the CWEA guidelines and criteria. The award winners are announced during the December installation and awards banquet, and the winners are submitted to the CWEA for the state competition. CWEA will forward any State winners in similar award categories at the WEF level to WEF by April 1st. To view 2006 award applications, go to: www.cwea.org/awards.
