Thanks to all who participated in the 13th Annual North Coast Section CWEA Golf Tournament.

The weather ended up beautiful after the normal morning fog & overcast.  There were 9 teams this year, battling  for first place bragging rights in the Four-person Scramble at McKinleyville's Beau Pre Golf Course on June 14th.

A Peoria Handicap system was used once again this year.  The Peoria system is a one day tournament handicapping system designed to keep the scores tight, no matter the experience level of the golfers.  The teams finished in the following order:

First Place went to Humboldt Community Services District's "Bird Hunters".  The team consisted of:  Mickey Hulstrom, Doug Frey, Nathan Frey, & Louis Osburn

Second Place went to Thrifty Supply.  The team consisted of: Dan Cruz, Bruce Filippo, & Randy Sundberg

First Place for Lowest Team Score without the Handicap went to "Slice-O-Matics". The team  consisted of: Mike Flockhart, Walt Doremus, Jessie Suelzle, & Frank Dore

The “Most Honest Team” award (last place) went to "Elk River Aces" from City of Eureka's WWTP. The team consisted of: Michael Hansen, Dan Duncan, Eric Freyermuth, & Jeremy Dempsey.  This team was also given a series of group golf lessons courtesy of Rex Denham at Beau Pre Golf Course.  Thank you Rex!

Prizes were also awarded for KP’s (closest to the pin) on three holes and a longest drive.

Hole 4 KP - Wayne Roslosnik

Hole 6 KP - Dan Cruz
Hole 17 KP - Mike Flockhart

Hole 10 Long Drive - Nathan Frey
