Knowing the impact children and students
have on the quality of our environment, CWEA supports
these key programs aimed at helping students learn about
the wastewater treatment process and industry:
- Stockholm
Jr. Water Prize -a prestigious youth award for
water science research projects.
California's Vijay Yanamadala was a finalist in the
2003 competition. His paper, "Reclaiming the
Ecosystem: Eutrophication Control with Phosphate
Binding Calcium Carbonate Filters and Accelerated
Denitrification in Fresh Water Lakes" was
published in the Fall 2003 issue of the
