Operator Certification Program Update
Updated: November 1, 2002 4:00 PM

SWRCB will continue the Operator Certification Program-effective November 1.
Moments ago we received a letter from Celeste Cantu, Executive Director of the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), announcing that the SWRCB will continue the Operator Certification Program. Read the full text of the letter

CWEA is enormously relieved that the program and the state-mandated requirement for operator certification will continue. Clearly, efforts by CWEA members, leaders, and staff had an impact on SWRCB's reconsideration. Thank you for helping to retain this program that plays such a critical role in protecting the public health.

We will keep you posted on any further developments.
